Eric was a bright, thoughtful person, full of personal and professional acumen. It is safe to say that all of us pursuing this seemingly frivolous project respected him as both a willing fountain of knowledge, but one of inspiration to regularly dedicate ourselves to a common goal. It is safe to say within our seemingly tiny enclave of nerd-dom, Eric is utterly irreplaceable.
I lost my father in November 2016, and Eric was wonderfully understanding about the ordeal and the time it would take me to begin contributing to the project again. I am personally very grateful for that because it gave me a chance to know him more over the coming months. If there is anything our humble group can do or put the word out for, we are at your disposal. There no need to take your time on this front. we’ll wait. We are truly, deeply sorry for yours, and the world’s loss.
We will be dedicating the release of the flight simulation module to Eric’s memory in whatever way is most appropriate.
