I want to start off saying that Eric was a huge inspiration to me, he was incredibly knowledgeable and an amazing guy to be around. From the beginning of the project, as someone who knew very little, he helped me along and always had a helping hand when I was close to giving up on some challenging part. I owe nearly everything i’ve learned here to him, which is one of the reasons he’s a person I will always remember.
Working on the project with him was amazing, and I cannot imagine him not being here anymore. He is one of the nicest people I’ve ever spoken to, he would always be helpful, caring and give people second chances. As such I can say with great certainty that there are many of us who will miss him so much for who he was.

Thank you so much for your loving words about our wonderful son Eric. We are so very happy that he inspired you, and we’re thankful that his encouragement will help you to carry on the work that he loved so much.
Several years ago, after he had started his flying lessons, he told me that, had he taken the lessons when he was a teenager, he would have become a pilot instead of an engineer. He loved flying so much, and I truly picture his soul flying so very freely in the universe. His spirit will always be with us.
